The first building called St. Peter's Protestant Episcopal Church was built in the early 18th century and was one of the first places of worship for the Anglican community in the state. What visitors see now is the church's third building, built in 1859, a beautiful example of Gothic architecture which contains four amazing stained glass windows and the floor is of carefully crafted mosaic tile. The church is located in central Albany, half a block from the capitol building.
