Opulent by design, the Palace Theatre was built in the midst of the Great Depression in the 1930s and retains many of its original features, such as painted murals, intricately molded doorways, and a majestic brass chandelier in the lobby. The 2,844-seat theatre has hosted performances by entertainment legends including James Brown, Pink Floyd and Aretha Franklin. It is located in downtown Albany, a mile east of Albany's historic Washington Park.
Box Office Open - Labor Day to Memorial Day: Mon. to Fri. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Summer Hours: Mon. to Fri. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Also open on nights of a performance.
