The New York State Vietnam Memorial was built in 1984 as a memorial for the those who fought and lost their lives in the Vietnam War. It features a serene outdoor fountain and garden, which contains the state honor roll displayed on bronze plaques. Inside, visitors to the somber memorial can view a series of rotating exhibits on those New York citizens whose lives were affected by the war. The memorial is located in and around the Justice Building in the Empire State Plaza, near the New York State Museum.
